David Amalong

Studio Leader

A registered landscape architect and urban designer with more than 30 years of experience, Amalong recently was a national design leader and the Southeast regional leader of landscape architecture for an international design firm. His work, which celebrates the human spirit through social equity, quality design and ecological intelligence, has received dozens of awards and recognitions and can be found across the U.S. and internationally, including China and the Middle East. He holds a Bachelor of Science in landscape architecture from The Pennsylvania State University and is a LEED AP®. Involved in the advancement of the industry, Amalong is an active member of Urban Land Institute and American Society of Landscape Architects. Amalong is based out of Stewart’s Charlotte office, managing and collaborating with landscape architecture team members in Raleigh and across the firm’s footprint as studio leader.
